Canada - Nigeria 70-79

Nigeria advanced to the Quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games. They finished the group stage with a 2-1 record beating Canada 79-70.
Both teams nailed 18 points each in the opening frame, whilst Canada grabbed a 4-point lead at the halftime due to a 23-19 rally in the second quarter. The third period however was decisive in the game as the Nigerian powerhouse erupted with a 23-5 surge to seal the win. Nicole Enabosi (183-F-1997, college: Delaware) and Ezinne Kalu (173-G-1992, college: SSU) scored for 79-64, whilst Samantha Hill (177-G-1994, college: Virginia Tech) replied with a three for a 12-point difference. Natalie Achonwa (190-F-1992, college: Notre Dame) made one free throw and Cassandre Prosper reduced to 79-70. Those points weer the last in the game as Canada remained winless and finished with a 0-3 record. Ezinne Kalu stepped up with 21 points and Elizabeth Balogun (185-G/F-2000, college: Duke) had 14. Shaylisha Colley (173-G-1996, college: Michigan St.) answered with 17 points in a loss, whilst Bridget Carleton (185-F-1997, college: Iowa St.) brought 13.
