Nigeria advanced to the Quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games. They finished the group stage with a 2-1 record beating Canada 79-70.
Both teams nailed 18 points each in the opening frame, whilst Canada grabbed a 4-point lead at the halftime due to a 23-19 rally in the second quarter. Those points weer the last in the game as Canada remained winless and finished with a 0-3 record. Ezinne Kalu stepped up with 21 points and Elizabeth Balogun (185-G/F-2000, college: Duke) had 14. Shaylisha Colley (173-G-1996, college: Michigan St.) answered with 17 points in a loss, whilst Bridget Carleton (185-F-1997, college: Iowa St.) brought 13.
