Paris 2024: France dominate Nigeria en route to second win

France recorded the second win at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They stormed past Nigeria for 2-0 record atop of Group B. Marine Johannes (174-G-1995) converted five three-pointers to topscore with 15 points for France.
Les Bleues recorded 24 points in the first quarter to gain a 4-point lead. They held Nigeria to only 11 points in the second period to extend the margin at 7-point mark 38-31. France continued to dominate defensively in the third period. They limited the African counterparts to 8 points in the quarter to open a 15-point advantage. France sank 21 points in the final quarter to seal the win. Gabrielle Williams (180-F-1996, college: UConn) delivered 14 points for the hosts. Ezinne Kalu (173-G-1992, college: SSU) answered with 18 points for Nigeria.
