Akhator re-signs at Bretagne

Evelyn Akhator

Landerneau Bretagne Basket (LFB) confirmed in their roster 29-year old Nigerian ex-international power forward Evelyn Akhator (190cm-1995, college: Kentucky) for season 2024-25. She played there last season. In 21 LFB games she recorded 12.1ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.4spg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Honorable Mention.
In 2017, she was selected by the Dallas Wings (WNBA) as the #3 overall pick in the draft.
She graduated from the University of Kentucky and it's her 8th season in pro basketball.
Akhator also represented Nigeria at the World Championships (FIBA World Cup) in Tenerife (Spain) six years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 12.6 ppg and had 9 rpg.
She is a very experienced player. Akhator has also played professionally in Russia (Dynamo Novosibirsk Region), Spain (Avenida), Turkey (Besiktas), France (Flammes and Landes) and WBDA (Atlanta M.).
Akhator played for Chipola College for 2 years before making it to the French final in 2023. She was selected as Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Forward of the Year in 2022.
