Al Fatat inks Ijeoma Uchendu

Ijeoma Uchendu

Al Fatat (D1) has agreed terms with 31-year-old Nigerian forward Ijeoma Uchendu (185cm-65kg-1992, college: Butler). She began the season playing for Al-Ahli in the Bahrain Premier League.
Part of last summer, she spent at Correcaminos in Mexican LNBPF, where in 10 games she had 9.7ppg, 5.9rpg, and 1.5spg. She helped them reach the Mexican LMBPF final after finishing the regular season as the second-best team. She also played for another Mexican team, Mieleras, in the Mexican league.
She repped Nigeria at the African Championship U18 for Women in Cairo (Egypt) 14 years ago.
She is a very experienced player, having played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). She has previously played professionally in Mexico (Aztks), Spain (Zamarat, Plasencia, and Barakaldo), and the WBDA (Atlanta M.).
She won the Mexican LMBPF championship title in 2022.
She graduated from Butler University in 2015 and is in her ninth season as a professional player. She also played for Central Arizona College and Grayson County College.
