Promise Amukamara

Dynamo Kursk (PBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) guard Promise Amukamara (173cm-1993, college: Arizona State) for season 2023-24. Amukamara played last season at Hertzliya in Israeli D2 league. In 17 D1 games she recorded very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 6.1apg (top 5) and 2.4spg (in top 5).
Her team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals in 2012 and 2015. She was voted to Pac-12 All-Defensive Team back in 2014 and 2015.
The previous (2021-22) season she played at Bretagne in French LFB where in 23 games she averaged 9.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg (in top 5) in that year.
Amukamara has been also a member of Nigerian international program for some years. She has regularly played for Nigerian senior team since 2016 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011.
Amukamara represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) two years ago. But her stats at that event were not that remarkable as she did not score anything.
She is quite experienced player. Amukamara has played also professionally in Germany (Osnabrueck), Romania (Alexandria and Satu Mare), Spain (CREF Hola) and France (Charnay).
She graduated from Arizona State in 2015 and it will be her ninth season as a professional player. Her team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals in 2012 and 2015. Amukamara was selected to Pac-12 All-Defensive Team back in 2014 and 2015.
