Bnot-Hertzliya (D1) landed 29-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) 173cm guard Promise Amukamara (college: Arizona State). She is replacing Loryn Goodwin who already left the team. Alexsus Dye has finished her time with the club as well.
Amukamara played most recently at Bretagne in French LFB league. In 23 games she averaged 9.3ppg, 2.6rpg, 2.6apg and 2.0spg (in top 5) last season.
Her team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals in 2012 and 2015. She was voted to Pac-12 All-Defensive Team back in 2014 and 2015.
The previous (2020-21) season she played at Charnay (LFB) where in 22 games she had 11.6ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.4apg and 2.5spg (in top 2) in that year. Amukamara can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Honorable Mention.
She has been also a member of Nigerian international program for some years. Amukamara has regularly played for Nigerian senior team since 2016 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2011.
She represented Nigeria at the Olympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) last year. But her stats at that event were not that impressive as she did not score anything.
Amukamara has played also professionally in Germany (Osnabrueck), Romania (Alexandria and Satu Mare) and Spain (CREF Hola).
She graduated from Arizona State in 2015 and it will be her eighth season in pro basketball.
