SBBK Sodertalje (Basketligan) added to their roster 26-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) forward Stephen Ugochukwu (201cm-100kg-1996, college: McNeese State) for season 2022-23. Ugochukwu joins another USA player Walt Kelser who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Navarra in Spanish LEB Silver.
Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Mexico (Soles) and NBA G League (Texas Legends and NAZ Suns). He played in the final of Spanish LEB Plata Play-Off in 2022. Ugochukwu was voted to Eurobasket.com Spanish LEB Silver All-Imports Team in 2022.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
Ugochukwu graduated from McNeese State in 2018 and it will be his fifth season as a professional player.
