Livorno Libertas land David Cournooh

Akern Libertas Livorno (Serie A2) has signed 35-year-old guard David Cournooh, who is a former Italian-Ghanian international standing at 187cm. Cournooh, represented by Interperformances, played for Germani Brescia Leonessa in the Serie A for the past four years. Last season, he averaged 4.3ppg and 1.0rpg in 37 games. The move to Serie A2 will provide Cournooh with a better match and more playing time, as he aims to help Akern Libertas Livorno succeed, just like he helped his previous team reach the Supercup final.
Cournooh was also a member of the Italian international program for some years. He played for the Italian Senior National Team in 2016 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2010.
Cournooh has spent his entire career in Italy playing for seven other teams: Cantu, Pistoia, Mens Sana, Imola ACosta, Scafati, Cremona and Imola ACosta. He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Livorno Libertas.
