Ben Bentil (ex Mersin Spor) joins Dreamers

Formosa Dreamers (TPBL) added to their roster 30-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) power forward Ben Bentil (206cm-110kg-1995, college: Providence). He started the season at Mersin Spor in Turkish BSL league. In 9 games he had 10.2ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.2apg. He also played 5 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 6.0ppg and 2.6rpg. The last season season he played at ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) in French league. The other team he played shortly was Gevi Napoli Basket (Serie A) in Italian league. Another team he played briefly was Hapoel Tel Aviv (Winner League) in Israeli league.
In 2016 he was drafted by Boston Celtics (NBA) in second round (51st overall). The former Providence College star is in his tenth season in pro basketball.
Bentil is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. He tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia and of course North America. Bentil has played professionally in China (Flying Tigers), France (Champagne), Greece (Peristeri and Panathinaikos), Israel, Italy (Armani Milano), Japan (Thunders), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), Spain (Surne Bilbao), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers) and NBA G League (Noblesville Boom).
Among many awards Bentil's team won French League Regular Season in 2025. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Honorable Mention back in 2021.
