Homs Al Fidaa inks Bashir Ahmed, ex Heliopolis

Bashir Ahmed

Homs Al Fidaa (D1) agreed terms 32-year-old USA-Ghanian 201cm swingman Bashir Ahmed (college: St. John's). He played last season with Heliopolis in Egyptian Superleague.
He is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eleven different countries playing on four different continents. Ahmed is familiar with European, Asian, African and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in Argentina, Bosnia (Spars), Croatia (Zadar), France (ALM Evreux), Hungary (Zalakeramia ZTE KK), Kosovo (Sigal Prishtina and Ylli), Romania (Targu Jiu), Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Uganda (City Oilers) and The Basketball Tournament (Playing for Jimmy).
In 2016, Ahmed was also part of the NJCAA D1 Region VI All-Tournament Team. His team made it to the Kosovo League Semifinals in 2023.
He graduated from St. John's University in 2018 and it's his eighth season in pro basketball. Ahmed played also for Hutchinson Community College for 2 years.
