Amida Brimah joins Estudiantes

Movistar Estudiantes Madrid (Primera FEB) has agreed terms with 31-year-old Ghanaian center Amida Brimah (213cm-104kg-1994, college: UConn) for the new 2025-26 season. He will remain in Spain, where he played last season at Valencia Basket in the Spanish Liga Endesa. In 19 games, he averaged 4.1ppg, 2.4rpg, and 1.1bpg. Primera FEB will be a better fit for him, and he is expected to see more playing time. Brimah also played 10 games in the Eurocup, where he averaged 4.8ppg, 3.7rpg, and 1.0bpg, helping his team reach the semifinals. He briefly played for BAXI Manresa in Liga Endesa and Givova Scafati Basket in the Italian Serie A league.
He is quite an experienced player. Brimah's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Brimah tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America. He has played professionally in Belgium (Oostende), France (JL Bourg), Italy, Japan (Happinets), Puerto Rico (Mets), Serbia (Partizan), NBA (San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Austin Spurs, Indiana Mad Ants, and Grand Rapids Gold), and NBA Summer League (Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers).
Among many awards, he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Center of the Year in 2021.
Brimah graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2017 and it'll be his 9th season as a pro player.
