Nathan Mensah joins Cluj Napoca

The defending champion U-Banca Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Liga Nationala) agreed terms with 27-year-old Ghanaian forward Nathan Mensah (208cm-104kg-1998, college: SDSU) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Summer League. However, in only one game during the recent league, he did not score and only had 2 rebounds.
During part of last season, he spent time at Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli league. He also played for Olympiacos S.F.P. Piraeus in the Greek league. Mensah played 6 games in the Greek GBL where he recorded 5.2ppg, 4.0rpg, and 1.0bpg.
He is a quite experienced player. Mensah has played professionally in Greece, Israel, NBA (Charlotte Hornets), and NBA G League (Austin Spurs and Greensboro Swarm).
Among many awards, he played in the final of NCAA in 2023. He was also part of the MWC All-Tournament Team during his college time in 2022.
Mensah graduated from San Diego State University in 2023, and it will be his third season as a pro player.
