Ben Bentil (ex Napoli) agreed terms with ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne Basket

LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (Betclic ELITE ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) 206cm power forward Ben Bentil (college: Providence). He played recently at Gevi Napoli Basket in Italian Serie A. In 11 games he recorded 14.9ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.3apg this season. He also played for Hapoel Tel Aviv (Winner League) in Israeli league.
In 2016 he was drafted by Boston Celtics (NBA) in second round (51st overall). Bentil graduated from Providence College and it is his ninth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Bentil has played previously professionally in China (Flying Tigers), Greece (Peristeri and Panathinaikos), Israel, Japan (Thunders), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), Spain (Surne Bilbao), Turkey (Bahcesehir), NBA (Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers), France (Chalons Reims) and NBA G League (Indiana Mad Ants).
Among many awards he won Serbian League championship title in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Honorable Mention back in 2021.
