Givova Scafati Basket (Serie A) added 30-year-old Ghanaian center Amida Brimah (213cm-104kg-1994, college: UConn) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. He played last season with Mets de Guaynabo in the Puerto Rican BSN league. In 13 games, he averaged 6.5ppg, 7.2rpg, and 2.4bpg. During the previous season, he played for the Warriors in the NBA G League and also for another NBA G League team, Gold.
Brimah is a very experienced player. Thanks to Brimah's pro career, he has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America) in eight different countries. He has played professionally in Belgium (Oostende), France (JL Bourg), Japan (Happinets), Puerto Rico, Serbia (Partizan), NBA (San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (Austin Spurs and Indiana Mad Ants), and NBA Summer League (Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers).
In addition to these achievements, Brimah was named the Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Center of the Year in 2021. His college team reached the French Leaders Cup final in 2023.
He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2017, and it will be his eighth season as a pro player.
