Sportinvest Trapani Sharks (Serie A) agreed terms with 27-year old British-Ghanian international small forward Akwasi Yeboah (198cm-107kg-1997, college: Rutgers). He was about to sign at Mersin BBGSK in Turkish TBL league. Last season he played at another Turkish team Galatasaray (BSL) in Turkey where in 27 games he had 8.7ppg and 3.7rpg. He also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 10.9ppg and 3.1rpg.
Yeboah has also been a member of the British international program for some years. He has regularly played for the British senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2014.
Yeboah also represented the United Kingdom at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 Division B in Oradea (Romania) seven years ago. His team won Bronze and he averaged over 14 points per game.
He has played professionally in France before, both in Saint Quentin and Saint Chamond.
Among many awards, he won the British EBL Division One championship title in 2015. Yeboah was voted to the AEC All-Rookie Team back in 2017.
He graduated from Rutgers University in 2020 and it's his fifth season as a pro player. Yeboah played for Stony Brook University for 4 years.
