What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Cairo: Al Ahly (#1) and Heliopolis (#7). Heliopolis were smashed at home by 19 points 52-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Ahly forced 21 Heliopolis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Heliopolis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Nadine Salawi who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American-South Sudanese forward Rose Macuei (187-2000) contributed with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Aya Elfiky (179-2003) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds for Heliopolis. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Al Ahly (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row, which they share with NBEC. Heliopolis at the other side dropped to the eighth place with six games lost.
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Cairo: NBEC (#2) and Al Shams (#5). Al Shams were smashed at home by 16 points 49-65 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Huda Alaa (180) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists and Shadw Salem who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Leina Mahmoud with 22 points. Undefeated NBEC (10-0) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Ahly. Al Shams at the other side keep the fifth place with three games lost.
Bottom-ranked New Giza is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to third ranked Alexandria (10-1) 84-64 on Tuesday evening. The winners were led by Hagar Amer who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Even 9 points and 7 rebounds by Tamia Lawhorne did not help to save the game for New Giza. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alexandria have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-1 record having just one point less than leader Al Ahly. Loser New Giza still closes the standings with nine games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: Al Gezira beat Misr Insurance on the road 68-51. Shooting was destroyed by Somouha on its own court 52-76. Al Zohour outscored Aviation in Cairo 76-33.
The most impressive performance of 12th round was 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Mariam Morad of Al Zohour.
