The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Cairo:Al Ahly (#1) and Heliopolis (#7). Heliopolis were smashed at home by 19 points 52-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Ahly forced 21 Heliopolis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Heliopolis helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Nadine Salawi who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. American-South Sudanese forward Rose Macuei (187-2000) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Aya Elfiky (179-2003) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Jana Sayed added 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Heliopolis. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Ahly (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 10 victories in a row, which they share with NBEC. Heliopolis at the other side dropped to the eighth place with six games lost.
