The most exciting game of round 19 in the Superleague took place in Alexandria. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Al Ahly (12-2) to first ranked Al Ittihad Al. (13-1) 93-91 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Al Ahly C.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Al Ittihad Al. made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Adam Moussa (190-2002, college: CBU) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 5 assists. Hazem Elmashad accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Kenny Brown (183, college: Co.Georgia) came up with 17 points and 7 assists for WE Sporting in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zamalek (7-7) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated WE Sporting.
In the last two games of round 19 bottom-ranked Petrojet lost to Sporting on the opponent's court 105-110. Al Gezira managed to outperform Smouha in a home game 69-63.
