Edmond Koyanouba is a newcomer at Ilicitano

EBA newcomer CB Ilicitano Elche strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old Chadian ex-international center Edmond Koyanouba (210cm-1995) for season 2023-24. Koyanouba is the second import player in the roster as Senegalese Talla Niang signed here earlier.
He is not a newcomer in Spanish League as he played last season at Huelva Comercio. In 24 EBA games in Spain he recorded 6.7ppg and 6.5rpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league.
He ended the previous (2021-22) season at Ecoculture CB Almeria where in 11 EBA games he averaged 12.9ppg and 7.1rpg in that year. He contributed to his team winning the regular season. But the most of that year he spent at Damex UDEA Algeciras (LEB Silver). In 12 games he had 3.0ppg and 3.9rpg in that year. He was a member of Chadian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2018.
Koyanouba has played previously for eight other teams: Ferrol, Valladolid, SKA Logistik CB Andujar, L'Hospitalet, Melilla, Oh!Tels Union Linense de Baloncesto, Marin and Melilla.
He won Spanish EBA Final Stage Group 3 championship title in 2019.
