Rennes sign Mael Lebrun

NM1 newcomer Union Rennes Basket 35 landed 29-year old naturalized Chadian forward Mael Lebrun (193-91). He is the second foreign player in the roster as Guinean Cheick Sekou Conde signed here earlier.
Lebrun has played for the last three years at Lille Metropole Basket in the ProB. ProB was a little too high level for him, where in 21 games he averaged just 1.4ppg last season. NM1 will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
He represented France at the European Championships U20 in Bilbao (Spain) nine years ago. Lebrun's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 9 games: 3.0ppg, 2.1rpg.
Lebrun has played previously for three other teams: Saint Quentin, STB Le Havre and Entente Orleans 45.
Lebrun's team made it to the ProB Play-Offs Semifinals in 2018.
