Rwanda have won FIBA AfroCan Zone 5 Qualifiers and will head to AfroCan 2023 Regular season. In the Final game they edged Burundi 70-48. Rwanda lost the game to Burundi at the end of the Round Robin, 52-53. This game they started however more confidents and grabbed a 27-11 surge at the end of the first period. Rwanda never looked behind after and sealed the trophy.
William Robeyns (192-SG-1996) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Dieudonne Ndizeye netted 15. Guibert Nijimbere (186-PG-1995) replied with 13 points in the losing effort.
