Mali outgunned Ivory Coast to advance into the quarterfinal stage. The hosts grabbed a 48:28 halftime lead. Mali maintained the lead throughout the second half and raced to the victory. Benke Diarouma (198-F-95) posted 16 points, while Ousmane Traore (192-F-98) added 13 points for Mali. Amboudou-Kadirou Karaboue (185-PG-96) replied with 19 points for Ivory Coast.

DR Congo - Nigeria 81-55
DR Congo rallied past Nigeria to earn the second straight win in Group B. They dominated from start to finish. DR Congo built a 38:27 halftime lead. They ignited a 27:11 run in the third term to clear off for good. Maxi Munanga (191-G-93) accounted for 18 points, while Pitchou Kambuy (208-C-88) added 14 points in the win. Micheal Afuwape (PG-98) replied with 14 points for Nigeria.
Group C
Morocco - Angola 58-68
Angola outgunned Morocco to clinch the top position in Group C. Morocco posted a 16:14 lead after ten minutes. But Angola went on a 23:13 run in the second period to surge ahead. They followed with a 19:9 rally in the third quarter to consolidate the lead and never looked back en route to the win. Childe Dundao (167-G-98) posted 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Edson Ndoniema (191-G-91) and Alexandre Jungo (201-F-97) had 9 points each for Angola. Abdelhakim Zouita (200-F-86) replied with 15 points for Morocco.
Group D
Egypt - Tunisia 68-75
Tunisia edged Egypt to clinch the top position in Group D. Tunisia posted a 38:35 halftime lead. Tunisia followed with a 22:14 run in the third term to clear off for good. Mohamed Rassil (198-F-98) posted 14 points, while Jawhar Jawadi (189-F-97) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds in the victory. Moustafa Elmekawi (204-F/C-94) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds for Egypt.
