Madagascar and Egypt to battle for title

Mali - Madagascar 81-84
Madagascar advanced into the title game at the home championship. The hosts held off heavy favourites Mali to secure the Final berth. Madagascar posted a 45-38 halftime lead. Mali narrowed the deficit at 2-point mark at the final break. Madagascar sank 20 points in the fourth quarter and got away with a key victory. Jerry Rabibisoa (203-C-2004) recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds, while Landric Rakotonanahary (198-F-2004) had 21 points for the winners. Abdramane Kanoute (196-G-2004) replied with 25 points for Mali.

Angola - Egypt 57-67
Egypt reached the title game in Madagascar. They overcame Angola in the second semifinal of the day. Egypt posted a 29-24 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 8-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. Egypt nailed 22 points in the final term and rallied to the victory. Mohamed Hendy (176-G-2004) came up with 15 points, while Belal Elshakery (199-F-2004) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. Bencao Vungo (2004) answered with 23 points for Angola.
