Mali and Senegal to clash for title in Bamako

Mali advanced into the title game in Bamako as they rallied past Angola. Mali grabbed a 44:31 halftime lead. They went on a 26:17 run in the third period to open a 22-point advantage at the final break and never looked back en route to the win. Siriman Kanoute (176-G-01) tallied 21 points for Mali. Hassan Drame (200-SG-00) added 15 points for the hosts. Francisco Gomes (187-G-00) and Selton Miguel (194-F-00) answered with 11 points each for Angola.

Senegal - Egypt 91-82 OT
Senegal outscored Egypt in overtime to advance into the championship game in Bamako. Senegal recorded a 40:37 halftime lead. Egypt denied the deficit in the third term and eked out a one-point lead heading into the fourth frame. Senegal however held their opponents to just 13 points in the fourth term to force overtime. Senegal erupted for 19 points in the extra period to snatch the win. Biram Faye (206-C-00) produced 24 points and 19 rebounds, while Cheikh Faye (194-SF-01) added 17 points for the winners. Momen Hassan (195-F/G-01) replied with 22 points for Egypt.
