Angola, Senegal, Egypt and Mali reach semifinals in Bamako

DR Congo - Angola 44-62
Angola rallied past DR Congo in the quarterfinal clash. DR Congo grabbed a 31:26 halftime lead. But Angola turned things around in the third term. They went on a 19:7 rally to surge ahead. Angola capped the game on a 17:6 run in the fourth frame to seal the victory. Selton Miguel (194-F-00) and Pascoal Konde (186-G-00) provided 16 points each for Angola. Pierre Kasereka (180-SF-01) replied with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for DR Congo.

Libya - Senegal 52-87
Senegal eased past Libya to reach the semifinal stage in Bamako. Senegal dominated from start to finish. They established a 41:27 halftime lead. They unloaded 46 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Biram Faye (206-C-00) notched 25 points, 16 rebounds and 8 blocks for Senegal. Amar Sylla (206-C-01) added 14 points in the victory. Adrees Zeew (198-F-00) responded with 25 points for Libya.

Rwanda - Egypt 66-89
Egypt advanced into the semifinal stage in Bamako as they rallied past Rwanda. Ibrahim Ibrahim (193-F-00) posted 23 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Egypt recorded a 41:31 halftime lead. They used a 26:17 run in the third term to clear off for good. Momen Hassan (195-F/G-01) and Youssef Elmadawy (192-G/F-01) added 13 points each for Egypt. Emile Kazeneza (201-SG-00) answered with 25 points and 15 rebounds for Rwanda.

Tunisia - Mali 54-105
Mali breezed past Tunisia to enter the semifinal stage in Bamako. The hosts went on a 29:12 run in the second frame to take a 50:23 halftime lead. They dropped 55 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Abdoul Coulibaly (204-F-00) produced 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Mohamed Keita (207-C-01) added 16 points for Mali. Ayoub Yahyaoui (202-F-00) replied with 16 points for Tunisia.
