Egypt and Angola to clash for title in Kigali

Mali - Egypt 74-77
Egypt topped Mali in the semifinal clash in Kigali. They will now face Angola for the trophy. Seifeldin Elsandily (196-C-98) scored 20 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners. Mali rallied to a 23:18 lead after the first period. Egypt cut the deficit in the second frame. They pulled within a single point at halftime 38:39. Mali maintained the advantage throughout the third quarter. They secured a 3-point cushion heading into the fourth frame 57:54. But Egypt turned things around in the final period. They sank 23 points to snatch a tough win at the end. Ahmed Khalaf (206-F/C-99) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for Egypt. Ousmane Traore (192-F-98) responded with 14 points for Mali.

Angola - Tunisia 92-58
Angola cruised past Tunisia in the first semifinal clash. Silvio Sousa (203-C-98) posted 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. Angola dominated from start to finish. They secured a 25:16 lead after the first period. Angola kept the pressure growing throughout the second frame. They ensured a 45:28 halftime lead. Angola sank 28 points in the third quarter to gain a 26-point lead at the final break. Angola limited Tunisia to just 11 points in the fourth stanza to ice the win. Cristiano Gomes (203-PF-98) had 14 points for the winners. Mohamed Rassil (198-F-98) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds for Tunisia.
