Mali, Egypt, Ivory Coast and Cameroon enter semifinal stage in Rwanda

Mali - Angola 57-41

Mariya Diawara (2009) scored 15 points to lead Mali past Angola in the quarterfinal clash. Mali posted an 18-8 lead ten minutes into the game. They held Angola to 16 points in the second half to race to the victory. Alicia Muondo (2009) tossed in 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Angola.

Egypt - Tanzania 83-25
Egypt cruised past Tanzania to secure the semifinal berth. Egypt went on a 41-13 second half run to seal a comfortable win. Zeina Amin (2009) posted 13 points, while Fatma Abdella (2010) and Dana Abdalaa (2013) had 10 points each for Egypt. Rose Katamboy (PG-2009) replied with 15 points for Tanzania.

Rwanda - Ivory Coast 41-69
Ivory Coast outgunned hosts Rwanda to advance into the semifinal stage. Ivory Coast went on a strong 41-21 second half rally to secure the win. Emmanuela William (2010) stepped up with 26 points and 19 rebounds for Ivory Coast. Chalva Gaju (2009) answered with 14 points for Rwanda.

Tunisia - Cameroon 42-62
Cameroon raced past Tunisia to seal their semifinal berth in Rwanda. Cameroon recorded a 36-26 halftime lead. They followed with a 14-3 rally in the third term to clear off for good. Shanice Mbaha (172-SF-2009) stepped up with 19 points, while Marie Messina (170-F-2009) added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Cameroon. Rahma Nefzi (177-G-2010) hauled in 15 points for Tunisia.
