Egypt, Mali, Angola and Tunisia advance into semifinal stage in Tunisia

Rwanda - Egypt 15-84
Egypt knocked down Rwanda to advance into the semifinal stage in Monastir. Egypt dominated throughout the entire game. They recorded a 37-8 halftime lead. Egypt held their opponents to just 7 points in the second half and raced to the win. Khadiga Abouelghait (190-C-2007) finished with 18 points, while Injy Elghayesh (170-SG-2007) posted 16 points for the winners. Teta Kwitonda (2008) banked in 5 points for Rwanda.

Guinea - Mali 15-142
Mali raced past Guinea to seal their semifinal appearance. Mali claimed a massive 74-10 halftime lead. They held Guinea to just 5 points in the second half and rallied to the victory. Couda Keita (2008) posted 27 points, while Assitan Diarisso (2008) had 19 points in the win. Zenabou Diack (2007) tallied 7 points and 14 rebounds for Guinea.

Uganda - Angola 58-64
Angola overcame Uganda to make their way into the semis. Uganda enjoyed a 28-24 halftime lead. But Angola answered with a 20-7 rally in the third period to secure a 9-point advantage. They protected the lead throughout the fourth stanza and raced to the win. Ana Servico (2007) notched 27 points and 11 rebounds for Angola. Modesta Anyango (2007) answered with 25 points for Uganda.

Morocco - Tunisia 42-69
Tunisia raced into the semifinal stage as they outgunned Morocco. Mariam Fahs (2007) tallied 21 points to lead the charge. Tunisia accumulated a 40-26 halftime advantage. They limited Morocco to just 16 points in the second half and marched to the win. Islem Ayari (2008) had 15 points for Tunisia. Amina Bouyahyaoui (2007) replied with 11 points for Morocco.
