Uganda - Gabon 53-25
Uganda thumped Gabon to improve at 2-2 record at the championship. Uganda ignited a 14-2 run in the first period. They went on a 33-11 rally in the second half to seal the victory. Mariam Namukwaya (05) tallied 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Gertrude Nyamutoro (06) added 13 points for Uganda. Jeanette Fouty (185-C-06) replied with 13 points and 20 rebounds for Gabon.
Algeria - Chad 33-30
Algeria held off Chad to gain the second win in Cairo. The teams were tied at 16 heading into the second half. Chad surged ahead to take a 7-point lead at the final break. But Algeria held their opponents to only 2 points in the fourth frame to secure the win. Khadidja Kaouah (185-C-05) answered with 10 points for Algeria. Denise Naldjim (06) answered with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Chad.
Egypt - Mali 66-56
Egypt held off Mali for the fourth straight win in Cairo. The hosts posted a 26-16 lead ten minutes into the game. Mali narrowed the gap to a single point at the final break. But Egypt used a 19-10 run in the fourth frame to secure the win. Judy Elshebshery (166-SG-05) dropped 16 points, while Hana Abdelaal added 12 points for Egypt. Rokiatou Berthe (06) answered with 13 points for Mali.
