Mali, Egypt and Mozambique reach semifinals in Rwanda

Rwanda - Mali 32-112
Mali crushed Rwanda to advance into the semifinal stage. Mali piled up a comfortable 51:22 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Mariam Coulibaly (179-F-04) deposited 23 points, while Djelika Tounkara (170-PG-03) had 17 points for Mali. Lamla Umunezero (156-G-03) answered with 11 points for Rwanda.

Tanzania - Egypt 41-88
Lojain Elfatairy (164-PG-03) and Farida Youssef (166-PG-03) tossed in 18 points apiece to lead Egypt past Tanzania. Egypt registered a 42:24 halftime lead. They followed with a 30:6 run in the fourth quarter to race to the win. Catherine Mollel (180-F-03) produced 11 points and 16 rebounds for Tanzania.

Uganda - Mozambique 69-73 OT
Mozambique topped Uganda to pave their way into the semifinal stage. Uganda piled up a 28:16 halftime lead. Mozambique replied with a 25:12 run in the third term to even things up. Uganda and Mozambique needed overtime to decide on the winner. Mozambique drained 13 points in the extra period to snatch the win. Paula Mabjaia (158-PG-03) netted 27 points, while Vanessa Chivale (162-F-03) and Leonor Do Alvar (167-G-04) had 13 points apiece in the win. Maria Najjuma (193-C-03) dropped 33 points and collected massive 49 rebounds in the loss.
