Uganda - Egypt 46-80
Egypt claimed the first victory at the tournament. They stormed past Uganda to open win count. Egypt recorded a 42:20 halftime lead. Egypt limited Uganda to just 26 points in the second half and raced to the win. Hala Yassine (170-PG-03) posted 18 points, while Radwa Abdelaal (180-F-03) added 12 points for the winners. Mary Amaniyo (180-PF-03) replied with 18 points for Uganda.

Rwanda - Angola 49-68
Angola rallied past Rwanda for the second straight win at the tournament. Angola recorded a 44:27 halftime lead. They held Rwanda to just 22 points in the second half and raced to the victory. Sara Caetano (172-SF-03) unloaded 33 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, while Teresa Mbemba (178-F-03) added 13 points for Angola. Violette Uwimpuhwe (165-G-04) notched 11 points for Rwanda.
