Angola - Egypt 43-56
Egypt secured the second victory in Mozambique. They beat Angola for 2-1 record in Group A. Habiba Elgizawy (169-G-01) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Egypt fueled a 23:8 run in the second term to open a 36:19 halftime lead. Angola cut the distance at 9-point mark heading into the fourth quarter but Egypt bounced back with a 12:8 run in the final term to snatch the win. Jana Abdullah (182-C-01) had 16 points and 9 boards in the victory. Conceicao Caetano (160-G-01) recorded 15 points for Angola.

Mali - Zimbabwe 112-22
Mali thrashed Zimbabwe for the second straight win in Group A. Aissetou Coulibaly (175-G/F-01) provided 26 points to lead the winners. Mali dominated from start to finish. They recorded a 62:10 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Diarrah Sissoko (02) netted 20 points in the win. Tadiwa Mabika (01) replied with 10 points for Zimbabwe.
