Group A
Morocco - Egypt 37-62
Egypt wrapped up their Group stage campaign with a comfortable victory over Morocco. Mahinour Mohamed stepped up with 14 points to lead the winners. Egypt piled up a 31:14 halftime lead. Morocco pulled within 12 points at the final intermission but Egypt responded with 23:11 run in the fourth frame to seal the victory. Aya Abdelrahmanmahmoud accounted for 8 points in the win. Maria Loukili responded with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Morocco.

Group B
Mozambique - Angola 62-56
Mozambique held off Angola to occupy the second position in Group B. Madina Camara stepped up with 17 points to pace the winners. Mozambique recorded a 36:23 halftime lead. Angola narrowed the deficit in the third term. The teams traded baskets throughout the fourth frame as Mozambique hung to win the battle. Veronica Salifu had 15 points and 10 boards for the winners. Regina Pequeno responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds for Angola.

Mali - Rwanda 111-23
Mali stayed unbeaten in Madagascar. They stormed past Rwanda to earn 4-0 record on top of Group B. Seven players scored in double digits for Mali. Assetou Bagayoko stepped up with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Mali used a massive 60:5 run in the first half to clear off. They never looked back aftewards. Salimatou Kourouma had 16 points for the winners. Bela Morukatete responded with 11 points and 17 rebounds for Rwanda.
