Group A
Nigeria - Madagascar 60-53
Nigeria posted the second straigth victory at the tournament. They held off Madagascar to improve at 2-0 record in Group A. Lucy Chinelo accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. Onome Akinbode and Rita James added 12 points each for Nigeria. They grabbed a 28:23 halftime lead. Madagascar erased the deficit and jumped to a 3-point lead at the final intermission. But Nigeria bounced back with a 20:10 rally in the fourth term and sealed the victory. Sariaka Totofidy netted 15 points to lead Madagascar.

Group B
Rwanda - Mozambique 22-96
Chanaya Pinto scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead Mozambique to an easy victory over Rwanda. Mozambique dominated from start to finish. They accumulated a 21:5 lead after the opening quarter. They stretched the gap at 28-point mark at the interval 37:9. Mozambique unloaded 59 points in the second half and cruised to the victory. Madina Camara contributed 20 points for the winners. Bella Murekatete responded with 10 points and 20 rebounds for Rwanda.

Tunisia - Mali 53-81
Salimatou Kourouma nailed 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Mali past Tunisia in Group B. Mali improved 2-0 record following the victory. Mali registered a 36:24 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 24-point mark at the final break and never looked back en route to the win. Rokia Doumbia finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Marwa Shili answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds as Tunisia fell at 0-2 record.
