MOZ 2013 U16 (Women): Mali, Mozambique, Egypt, Tunisia in semifinals battle

With an eye to defending it title Mali young ladies Thursday proved why it has remain the best women U16 side on the continent as it clinically dismissed Gabon with over 100 points margin (138-12 points) in its quarter final game to set up today (Friday) semi-final clash against host Mozambique at the Maxaquene Pavilion, Maputo.

Mali who has won the last editions of the championship must be at its best against Mozambique in the semi-final if the dream of making it a treble in a row.

Mozambique edged out Cote dIvoire by 55-44 points in their quarter final pairing while the second semi-final will see 2011 finalist Egypt conqueror of Botswana (93-48) in the quarter final take on Tunisia at 18H00. Tunisia defeated Angola by 40-36 points to reach the last four.
