Mali defends the Gold

Mali outplayed Egypt 66-54 in the Big Final of U16 AfroBasket 2011. It means that Mali defended the title which they won two years ago. Fanta Dire was the leading player in victory with 21 points. Awa Keita secured a great help adding 19 points and 14 boards. In the loosing squad, Soraia Yehia delivered 16 points. She was named MVP of the tournament, despite her team lost in the Big Final.
In the battle for Bronze, Angola was better than Tunisia 59-55. Rosa Gala of Angola finished as tthe best scorer of the championship. She nailed 157 points in total. Soraia Yehia followed her with 118 and Wafa Loubiri is third best scorer with 100 pts. All other players had much lower digits.
