Preliminary Round of the U16 AfroBasket in Egypt is over. The host of this event ended this stage with perfect 5-0. In Day Five, Egypt blasted Tunisia 77-34 to stay perfect. Tunisia had 4-0 before this meeting, so they finished Preliminary Round as No.2. Both teams advanced to Semifinals. Third ranked Mali and fourth Angola also reached the next stage. Defending champion Mali registered 3-2 record so far. Angola has 2-3. Algeria and Mozambique failed to reach the Semis. Algeria has 1-4 score and finished as No.5. Mozambique is the last ranked team at this event win no win.
