Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Kampala:Blazers (#2) and KCCA P. (#4). KCCA P. was smashed at home by 24 points 55-79 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Blazers forced 20 KCCA P. turnovers and outrebounded them 49-36 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Blazers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Tonny Drileba (183-1993) notched 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Ochera Innocent (-1997) supported him with 17 points. Even 20 points by guard Davis Assimwe did not help to save the game for KCCA P. . Stanley Mugerwa added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Blazers (11-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position behind leader City Oilers. KCCA P. at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost.
