The game had a very big importance for second-rankedCity Oilers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. City Oilers smashed 7th ranked Victoria Crocs in Kampala 85-60 . City Oilers looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of DR Congolese point guard Joel Lukoji (-2001) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. The former international point guard Fayed Baale (173-2001) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Chuol Nyuot answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Mark Ngobi added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Victoria Crocs. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. City Oilers (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Victoria Crocs lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost.
