Rather expected game when 9th rankedKampala R. (2-7) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Sommet (6-4) 90-62 on Sunday. Sommet forced 20 Kampala R. turnovers and outrebounded them 46-35 including 18 on the offensive glass. Sommet looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Forward Peter Cheng notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Joseph Chuma (-1991) supported him with 2 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Christian Ndibu did not help to save the game for Kampala R. . Mpiya Juf added 14 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sommet have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Kampala R. lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with JKL Dolphins.
