The most exciting game of round 30 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th rankedUCU Canons (13-10) to fourth ranked Kampala R. (14-9) 50-49 in the game for the fourth place. Kampala R. forced 20 UCU Canons turnovers. Strangely UCU Canons outrebounded Kampala R. 48-36 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for power forward Puati Kikomba who saved his team from a defeat with 7 points and 8 rebounds. Brian Opio contributed with 8 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Kampala R.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Lwabaga Ibanda replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and international center Joel Kayira (208-2001) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UCU Canons. Kampala R. maintains fourth position with 14-9 record. UCU Canons at the other side keep the fifth place with ten games lost.
