Regular Season Round 21: Sommet - City Oilers 90-87

The most exciting game of round 21 in the NBL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 7th rankedCity Oilers (7-7) to sixth ranked Sommet (9-7) 90-87 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of City Oilers. Sommet forced 19 City Oilers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for DR Congolese Franck Nyembo (-2006) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. Guard Kasereka Tembo contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Joseph Chuma (-1991) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Edgar Munaba (196-1999) added 20 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for City Oilers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sommet have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Sommet maintains sixth place with 9-7 record. Defending champion City Oilers keep the seventh position with seven games lost.
