Regular Season Round 13: KCCA Leopards - UCU Ladies 60-63

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedKCCA Leopards (9-2) in Kampala on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked UCU Ladies (7-2) 63-60 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of KCCA Leopards. UCU Ladies forced 28 KCCA Leopards turnovers and outrebounded them 60-39 including a 31-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Matrina Anyango who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Sylivia Nantongo contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. UCU Ladies' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Susan Aanyu (-1992) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tracy Namugosa added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for KCCA Leopards. UCU Ladies have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-2 record. KCCA Leopards at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost.
