Bottom-rankedKIU Titans (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 53-47 loss to seventh ranked Kampala R. (5-4) in Kampala. They held KIU Titans to an opponent 20.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 29.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded KIU Titans 50-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for power forward Puati Kikomba who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists. Brian Opio contributed with 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Daniel Odonkyero replied with 26 points and Bang Desmasiro added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks in the effort for KIU Titans. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kampala R. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with UCU Canons and City Oilers. KIU Titans at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost.
