Regular Season Round 8: Nkumba LM - Magic S. 54-62

Bottom-rankedNkumba LM (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 62-54 loss to eighth ranked Magic S. (3-2) in Kampala on Sunday evening. They also forced 34 Nkumba LM turnovers. Magic S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Christine Nakito who helped to win the game recording 7 points and 19 rebounds and Doreen Nakibuuka who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Shalom Muwanguzi responded with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Ssegendo Hazel scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Magic S. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with KIU Rangers. Newly promoted Nkumba LM still closes the standings with nine games lost.
