Bottom-rankedInspired Gen. (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 112-64 loss to sixth ranked UGB (5-5) in Kigali. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Inspired Gen. 's 28. UGB forced 33 Inspired Gen. turnovers and outrebounded them 55-34 including a 26-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. UGB players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Inspired Gen. 's players. Cameroonian Valentin Lele (185-2004) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals. Ghanian James Amotoe (-1998) contributed with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. UGB's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Samuel Asiribo replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Joseph Lambe-Embola added 16 points in the effort for Inspired Gen.UGB maintains sixth position with 5-5 record. Newly promoted Inspired Gen. still closes the standings with 13 games lost.
