The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:APR (#2) and Azomco (#5). Azomco was smashed at home by 23 points 52-75 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Azomco. APR made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Azomco turnovers. Mali guard Kamba Diakite (172-1999) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of her eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and Violette Uwimpuhwe (165-2004) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. APR's coach Charles Mushumba felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Ange Uwiringiyimana responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Burundian center Santhiana Izere (-2001) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. APR have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader REG. Azomco at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.
