Regular Season Round 10: Azomco - EAU 82-81

The most exciting game of round 10 in the RBL took place in Kigali. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th rankedEAU (3-4) to eighth ranked Azomco (2-5) 82-81 on Sunday evening. Azomco forced 23 EAU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Azomco made 7 blocks. Jarode Aworet (-2001) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Malik Matsouka chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Azomco players scored in double figures. Azomco's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Chadian forward Ronald Nato (199-1992) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and center Yamin Niyubahwe scored 7 points and 10 rebounds. Azomco maintains eighth position with 2-5 record. Newly promoted EAU keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with UGB and Kepler.
