Regular Season Round 7: REG - Kepler 72-51

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kigali:REG (#1) and Kepler (#2). REG (7-0) crushed visiting Kepler (4-2) by 21 points 72-51 . REG forced 24 Kepler turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kepler 's players. It was a great evening for Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (187-1990) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Center Nandy Uwitonze (-2002) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four REG players scored in double figures. REG's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side DR Congolese center Aichata Traore (185-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Nelly Nsanzabaganwa (-1995) scored 13 points and 4 assists. REG have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Kepler at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with APR.
