Regular Season Round 6: REG - UGB 77-85

REG (3-1) recorded its first loss in Kigali on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked UGB (2-3) 85-77 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of REG. UGB forced 21 REG turnovers. The best player for the winners was Ghanian James Amotoe (-1998) who scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. South African Nkosinathi Sibanyoni (208-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was DR Congolese forward Frank Betoudji (201-1998) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international Prince Muhizi (200-1996) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UGB moved-up to seventh place. REG at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost.
